Solo Or Group
There are a lot of people that feel that they would rather survive alone that being in a survival situation with another person or a group because they probably slow them down. In reality, the truth is that you can survive alone but you won't get too far. People need companionship while surviving to actually keep up your will to survive. When solo, you have nobody to talk to or to help you out in a sticky situation. You'll have less resources, a longer time finding food and water and no backup. However, when in a group you will have more resources. You'll be able to contruct a bigger stronger shelter and build it faster if you had to and someone to back you up in a fight.

Group Building
In every group no matter what kind, needs a foundation. Once that foundation is made, start on the structure that includes chain of command, dicipline, morals, laws, courage, self esteem, confidence and teamwork etc It needs to be like a military. However, group survivors should avoid conflicts. Survival is about staying alive, avoiding threats, hiding, but not fighting unless the group leader finds it to be necessary. The most important thing every group member needs to know.
1.Needs to know the chain of command
2.Needs to know his or her place in the group(job, skill wise)
3. Needs to know who is standing on both sides and behind himself or herself
4. Needs to know what he or she is suppose to be doing
5.Needs to know what the other person is suppose to be doing
6.Needs to know that the whole group is responsible for each other
Every group needs to depend on each other to survive. The best insects to pay close attention to are ants if you want to build a strong group or survival organization.

Security when camped out
When you have found a spot to camp out for your group or family and for yourself have a few good men to go check out the location to make sure there is not threat. After you decided to camp out in the area, set up security or a look out when everyone is settled in and resting. Always rotate your men after a few hours.

Boiling Water
Boiling water is an easy way to purify water. There is really no time limit in purifying water with the boiling method. Once the water reaches the boiling point, the water is purified. However, make sure you know the area where the water is because boilling water does not kill all water born elements that can hurt man. After boiling water, throw in a water purifying tablet just to be safe.

HURRICANE, CYCLONE AND TYPHON
Hurricanes aren't storms, but are a storm system that forms over the tropics. Hurricane, cyclone, and typhons are just different names for the same system. Strong winds, rain and thunderstorms come with hurricanes. The hurricane can trigger catastropic disasters, causing damage to coastlines and having tornados threatening the inland.

Cache
A cache is mostly for hiding items that are illegal. Now a days survivalists put anything that can be essential for them. Have a cache with first aid, MREs, ammo, firearms etc. Bury it behind your house or if you have a bug out location (B.O.L.) If you do have a bug out location make sure you check on your cache every one or two weeks to see if you need to replace anything.
This picture is a gun cache. A lone survivalist does not need to have a lot of firearms unless he or she is defending the house at all sides. Once the survivalist needs to bug out, the individual only can take what he or she can carry. The survivalist should take one shot gun or rifle, and a side arm and ammo
To have a cache a survivalist should use something that is waterproof or can be waterproofed. The best thing to use is a big PVC pipe. Put extra ammo, two rifles, extra cleaning kit, MREs, first aid kits, extra batteries, two extra flashlights, extra clothes. Be creative, pick your items that you think that would be more useful for you and your group. Bury it at your B.O.L.

RAIDERS
Raiders are pirates, thieves or zombies lol. So in a survival situation its always a great idea to have a firearm on your side to defend your family and supplies. If you are bugging in let the grass get tall and set traps where they can't be spotted. If bugging out try not to travel alone. Find the safest place for you to rest. You and your partner or group take turns being the lookout. You never want to be ambushed by raiders.

EMERGENCY LIGHTING
FLASHLIGHT
I would recommend LED flashlights. The bulbs of LED flashlights last longer and are brighter than glass bulbs. Better yet, I prefer LED shake flashlights. The shake lights are good to have more so than regular battery operated flashlights. With shake flashlights you will never need extra batteries. To charge shake flashlights you shake them for thirty seconds or less.
EMERGENCY CANDLES
These candles are great to have as backup lighting as well. If anyone is thinking about getting candles for their survival kit should get the edible candles. They can be eaten as a food source. The lighting last for a long time.
FLINT & STEEL
The flint & steel is good to have in your kit incase an individual plans on making a campfire. There are a lot of different fire starters on the market.
